Precise 3D digitization of the community center and old train station in Olpe for sustainable building management.

As part of the city of Olpe's new construction project, Voxelgrid carried out a comprehensive 3D as-built survey of the community center and the old train station. With the help of laser scanning and drone technology, the interior of the building as well as the facades and roof were captured in detail to create a complete point cloud. The data obtained served as the basis for a precise 3D model, which is available to the building managers in Olpe for maintenance, renovation and facility management.
Voxelgrid also created orthophotos of the facades, which contain precise measurements of all windows, doors and building elements to facilitate planning and renovation. A 3D Revit model, exported as an IFC file, allows managers to seamlessly access building information and room data such as square footage and room heights.
With this data, Voxelgrid helped the city of Olpe to manage historic buildings in a resource-efficient way and to plan sustainable renovation measures.
