The WBV Coswig has pushed ahead with the digitization of its existing buildings using state-of-the-art technologies such as laser scanning and photogrammetry. Building facades, stairwells and all generally accessible rooms were recorded in detail. This data serves as the basis for digital twins and was used to carry out precise planning of refurbishment measures. A key focus was on energy optimization, including the calculation of heat demand and the identification of thermal bridges. Such detailed surveys also enable the integration of solar systems and photovoltaics. These digital models also form a basis for funding applications and help to increase the efficiency of modernization projects. Particularly noteworthy is the collaboration with technology partner Voxelgrid, which provides an AI-supported analysis that makes it possible to identify different component types and incorporate them into energy calculations.
